What is a “WINN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER”?

It is something we take great pride being a health centre and winn community health center many people mistake it for free clinics. We wanted to clarify what a winn health center is and what it isn’t.

A WINN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER IS

The CDC defines winn communities health center as “community-based, patient-directed organizations that provide health care to populations who have limited access”.

A PROVIDER OF AFFORDABLE, ACCESSIBLE PRIMARY CARE SERVICES

Winn Community health centres provide culturally-appropriate, high-quality healthcare services. Your winn community health center is staffed by a caring team. They can help improve your overall health and mental well-being.

Primary care also includes regular checkups higher health chiropractic and the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma. It also includes screening for cancer. Screenings and testing can help to reduce the likelihood of more serious health problems later on. Preventative care is generally cheaper than more expensive options. Prescriptions and doctor visits are cheaper than emergency room visits or surgery.

A HUB for ALL ESSENTIAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES

You can get most services at one location to ensure that your patients receive the best care possible. This holistic approach involves dentists, pharmacies and substance abuse treatment. It also includes mental health services. It can offer essential healthcare services under one roof, rather than sending patients to different doctors.

A WINN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER IS NOT A REPUTABLE OPTION

  • A FREE CLINIC

Free clinics and health centers are quite different. They differ in many ways. Federal and other grants, government programs and insurance payments provide some funding for health centers. Private investments and donations are used to fund free clinics. While health centers employ qualified staff with experience and quality standards, free clinics are often staffed by volunteers who provide quality care. A board of at least 51% patients from the community directs health centers. There are many free clinic boards that may be led by community patients.

A REGULAR DOCTOR’S OFFICE

General physicians, also known as primary care providers, are doctors and nurse practitioners who provide general winn community health center services. These services include routine checks, testing for new diseases and treating sicknesses like stomach bugs and colds.

A general doctor performs many of same functions as a health center. It does not have a majority of community patients, so it is not patient-centered. It does not cater to patient needs. It does not usually have a dental unit, offer transportation services or offer a discount on health care based upon federal poverty guidelines.
